Job summary

HistoWiz, based in New York City, is seeking an IHC Lab Assistant to support the Laboratory Operations team. You will apply knowledge of IHC staining and histology to daily tasks, assist with sample handling, and help maintain an organized, efficient lab workflow.

Under supervision of the Director of Laboratory Operations, you will ship/receive client projects, manage inventory, and adhere to strict QC/QA standards to ensure reliable laboratory results. This is Full-time on-site work in NYC.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of IHC staining and routine histology procedures.
• High school diploma with some lab experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Tech-savvy and able to learn a proprietary digital LIMS system.
• Biotech experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain a clean, safe laboratory workspace.
• Ship and receive client projects and samples; label materials for transport.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies.
• Print, clean, and scan slides and cassettes per protocol.
• Follow QC/QA procedures to ensure accurate results.
