Job summary

HistoWiz, Inc is seeking an IHC Lab Assistant in New York City to support the Laboratory Operations team. Under the Director of Laboratory Operations, you will apply knowledge of IHC staining procedures to process samples, maintain equipment, and ensure quality.

Requirements include a high school diploma and some lab experience; biotech experience is preferred. You should be tech-savvy and able to learn our proprietary digital LIMS system; strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and maintaining the laboratory for a clean, safe, and efficient environment.
• Shipping and receiving client projects and samples, labeling materials for transport
• Maintaining inventory and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed
• Performing slide and cassette printing, slide cleaning, and scanning according to protocols
• Following quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate results
