Job summary

Confident Search Consultants is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support OT data flows across gas, solar, and wind assets. You will maintain Ignition SCADA systems, troubleshoot equipment, and enable reliable control and data analytics for operations teams.

Ideal candidates have a BS degree and 3–6 years of experience, expert Ignition and AVEA PI, and strong Python scripting. Renewable energy experience and IT/OT collaboration are essential. This role is based in Denver, Colorado.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3-6 years of experience; applicable years may substitute for degree.
• Expert Ignition and AVEA PI are mandatory.
• Renewable and gas power systems experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OT equipment such as SCADA, RTU, PI historians, OPC, Modbus.
• Ignition certification is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of power plant components and renewable projects.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA system components (gateways, screens, alarms, historian, integration).
• Manage OT SCADA equipment including servers and device configurations.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for advanced analytics.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections among OT equipment and data networks.
• Maintain data connections between OT centers, servers, and OEM SCADA/OPC systems.
• Coordinate with IT as primary operations contact.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance (if applicable).
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
