Job summary

Key People in Denver is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer to support OT equipment and data flow across gas, solar, and wind assets. You will design, implement, and maintain Ignition-based SCADA systems, ensuring reliability, security, and data integrity.

The role requires strong proficiency in Ignition and AVEA PI, plus scripting and analytics for operational insight. You’ll collaborate with site managers and IT to keep assets compliant and up-to-date, contributing to AI pilot initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with OT/SCADA systems and data flows.
• Proficiency with Ignition and AVEA PI is mandatory.
• Familiarity with power generation (renewables & gas) a plus.
• Knowledge of IT-OT interfaces and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Ignition SCADA system components such as gateways, screens, alarms, historian and integration.
• Manage OT SCADA equipment including servers and point configurations; ensure systems are up to date.
• Develop data flows and displays in Ignition Perspective for analytics and visualization.
• Troubleshoot and maintain connections between OT equipment (RTUs, data loggers, etc.).
• Maintain data connections between Remote Operations Center, data servers, and OEM systems.
• Coordinate with IT as primary operations liaison.
• Provide NERC CIP guidance to ensure asset compliance.
• Support SCADA lifecycle refresh and internal AI initiatives.
