Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE is seeking an in-house service technician to repair reducers, inspect parts, clean, assemble, and test power transmission products, including motors and instrumentation. You will disassemble, assemble, and generate inspection reports, using gauges to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Education: Mechanical Technical Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Must have mechanical aptitude to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to follow instruction, written and verbal.
• Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform disassembly, assembly and testing of power transmission products.
• Generate list of parts for replacement and reports of inspections.
• Use of measurement tools to ensure parts are within specifications.
• Perform testing of Electric Motors and/or Control Instrumentation (e.g., pressure, flow, temperature).
• Perform and/or coordinate service on SEW-EURODRIVE IG products on site and in the field.

About the Role

Currently, this position involves in-house service and repair work of Industrial Gears products range, the main focus of the position is the repair of reducers by performing inspections, parts cleaning and preparation, parts pulling, assembly, testing and general clean up as well as working on electric instruments and motors.

Education: Mechanical Technical Degree or equivalent experience required.

Wage Range: $20 - $23/Hr.
