Job summary

SEACORP is seeking an IETM Developer to write, rewrite and edit technical manuals in XML format for U.S. Navy platforms. You will collaborate with SMEs to analyze literature and specifications and produce IETMs, RRMs, and process documents.

The role requires strong writing skills, proficiency with XML content management systems and desktop publishing tools, and the ability to work independently or in virtual teams. A Secret clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.
• Experience with AN/BYG1 Combat Control System and CIS is desirable.
• Proficiency in MS Office and IETM development using XML CMS applications.
• Experience with desktop publishing tools to automate authoring of technical docs.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Verifies technical data with engineers.
• Develop data modules and information control number structured graphics per S1000D.
• Design standards and templates or create new ones where absent.
• Integrate operating and maintenance procedures from drawings and specs.
• Review materials and propose revisions to scope and format.
• Edit and standardize material prepared by others.
• Participate in project meetings and meet deadlines with the team lead.
• May coordinate production and distribution of materials.
