Job summary

SEACORP in Middletown, RI seeks a Systems Engineer II to contribute to the BYG-1 program's PCS ILS and create technical documentation for submarine combat systems. You will work with systems engineers, developers and government stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and timely delivery of IETMs and maintenance manuals.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of Navy submarine systems experience, strong writing skills, and ability to translate complex technical information into accessible user content.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with U.S. Navy submarine systems, preferably in combat systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in reviewing technical diagrams, system schematics, and interface documentation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in feature design reviews and implementation demonstrations.
• Provide feedback on the operational impacts of new features to software developers, systems engineers and testers.
• Develop, review, validate, and provide detailed feedback on IETM content, structure, and accuracy.
• Ensure IETMs are technically aligned with PCS system architecture, configuration, and operational behavior.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, and government stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure content completeness.
• Translate complex system information into accessible content suitable for end-user understanding.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to meet BYG-1 delivery milestones.
• Provide technical input on procedures, troubleshooting steps, and safety protocols.
• Participate in TIMs, CCBs, and documentation review boards.
