Job summary

SEACORP seeks an IETM Developer to write, rewrite and edit technical manuals in XML format for U.S. Navy platforms. You will collaborate with SMEs to develop manuals, RRMs and support documentation, following S1000D standards and templates.

The role requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience, strong communication, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. On-site work in Groton, CT with potential travel; quarterly reviews and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.
• Experience: AN/BYG1 Combat Control System and/or CIS operation and maintenance desired.
• Proficiency with MS Office and XML-based IETM development.
• IETM development using XML content management database applications.
• Desktop publishing tools to automate authoring and publishing of technical docs (e.g. PTC Arbortext, XMLSpy, Xignal).
• Graphics software such as GIMP or Adobe Design; Jira and Confluence are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including virtual teams.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Verifies technical data with engineers.
• Develop data structured into modules and information control numbers per S1000D.
• Design new standards/templates for documentation.
• Review drawings and specs to integrate procedures and troubleshooting.
• Review published materials and suggest revisions.
