NCIA (National Center on Institutions and Alternatives Inc) in Baltimore, MD is seeking an IEP/Transition Coordinator to support students in preparing for life after high school through individualized educational planning, transition services, and collaborative teamwork.

This full-time role involves leading the IEP process, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote student achievement and independence.

Qualifications

• MSDE Certification as Special Education Teacher required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required.
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full IEP process from development through implementation and progress monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulations.
• Partner with families, school systems, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement.
• Train and support educators in effective special education practices and IEP implementation.
• Coordinate transition services and individualized supports for students across Diploma and Certificate Track programs.
