Job summary

Little Friends, Inc. is seeking a special education teacher who designs and delivers differentiated instruction aligned with each student’s IEP. You will act as the student’s case manager under supervision, coordinating with coordinators and service providers.

You will collaborate with families, school staff, and districts to ensure FAPE in the LRE while promoting independence and postsecondary success for neurodivergent learners.

Qualifications

• Requires IL PEL with LBS1 endorsement and IL IDEA knowledge.
• Familiarity with IDEA, ADA, and state special education regulations.
• Experience with K-22 programming, transition services, ABA, executive functioning interventions, trauma-informed practices and IEP/transition plan development.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with IEPs and student needs.
• Act as case manager under direction of special education coordinator.
• Collaborate with related services, families and school staff to ensure FAPE in LRE.
• Support neurodivergent learners to access content and build life skills for school, work, and community participation.
