Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking a Learning Specialist to support students with IEPs in the Student Services department. The teacher will manage casework, develop individualized plans, and work with a team of Learning Specialists and educational assistants to provide services from more restrictive to less restrictive environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education required.
• Oregon teaching license with special education endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Performs case management responsibilities and maintains proper documentation.
• Develops an Individual Education Program (IEP) in all areas of need as indicated by assessments and IEP team input.
• Establishes and facilitates meetings and discussions with IEP team and parents.
• Collaborates with General Education Teachers to ensure access to general education opportunities for all students.
• Trains and coaches Educational Assistants and supervises safety and student care activities.
