Job summary

Bradford Academy, part of Choice Schools Associates, seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse needs through individualized education plans, differentiated instruction, and positive behavior supports.

You will collaborate with general educators, specialists, and parents to ensure IEP goals are met in a nurturing environment, maintain accurate records, and implement evidence‑based practices across inclusion and pull‑out settings.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsements in appropriate grade/subject.
• Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs and differentiated instruction.
• Familiarity with IDEA, IEP processes and inclusive education settings.

Responsibilities

• Implement the IEPs for students in the least restrictive environment.
• Prepare for annual IEPs and triennial reevaluations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents.
• Maintain accurate student records in accordance with laws and policies.
• Provide instruction and supports in both pull-out and inclusive settings.
• Use data to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies.
