Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks an IEP Coordinator to work with the Director and resource team to coordinate and evaluate the educational program.

The Instructional Specialist will mentor classroom staff and collaborate with all departments on implementing educational programs and onboarding new staff. In this role, you will coordinate IEPs, assist with recruiting and interviewing, develop transition plans, and maintain databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in education or related field.
• SPED Teacher Certification or Principal Certification.
• Experience with similar population in a school setting preferred.
• Experience coaching staff in a professional setting.
• Strong professional communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to record and analyze data using Excel and Google Drive.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate, manage, assess needs and determine student assignment regarding special education programs.
• Assist Principal with recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new campus staff.
• Develop and implement transition planning and services/Indicator 13.
• Maintain IEP database and student file scan database.
• Prepare and attend students' IEP meetings and ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
• Plan and deliver staff and parent education on special education programs.
• Maintain relationships with school district, parents and community.
• Provide and monitor crisis intervention at the school.
• Organize, plan and deliver training for professional development and staff meetings.
• Participate in Education Committee meetings and relay information to the resource team.
