Job summary

Okta Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer for the OIG team to own and evolve enterprise-grade features that govern access at scale. You will design, build, test, and deploy capabilities across microservices, APIs, and data models to support large enterprise customers.

You will collaborate with product, QA, and SRE to ensure reliability, security, and performance, while shipping production-ready code and addressing customer issues with urgency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with production ownership.
• Experience delivering large-scale distributed systems for enterprise customers.
• Expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of feature areas — from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
• Design, build, and ship production-ready features across the OIG system with focus on correctness, reliability, and performance.
• Write clean, well-tested code and maintain high engineering quality; fix customer-reported issues promptly.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Site Reliability Engineering teams for scoping and deployment work.
