Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Engineer to own the Identity Platform’s technical strategy, architect distributed systems, and drive end-to-end ownership of cross-team initiatives. You will enforce high engineering standards, mentor engineers, and champion AI-augmented development across the team.

Responsibilities include designing scalable platform components, conducting rigorous code reviews, and collaborating with product and infra teams to deliver secure, reliable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Identity Platform’s technical strategy and architect distributed systems with end-to-end ownership of cross-team initiatives.
• Make design decisions in fast-moving, ambiguous conditions and align stakeholders around technical directions without direct reporting authority.
• Uphold security, scalability, and performance criteria through design reviews and coding standards.
• Prototype and build new platform components and PoCs; write secure, testable code with CI/CD.
• Leverage AI/ML to automate incident detection and remediation, reducing toil and MTTR.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Support to translate customer needs into scalable designs.
