Job summary

00 RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring an IDD Teacher Assistant to join our team in North Carolina. The role involves assisting teachers and delivering direct educational services to service users at RHA Howell Care Centers under supervision of the Director of Professional Services/Program Director.

Payrate is $15.00 per hour. Benefits include Payactiv, PTO for full-time staff, health insurance, 401(k) and wellbeing programs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. with at least one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• A Valid North Carolina driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher and conduct activities that meet the needs of each individual (Integrative Activities).
• Assure class schedules and other routines are followed. Assist in the development of activities for weekends and holidays.
• Assist in basic care of individuals, including instruction in such skills.
• Collect appropriate data as assigned. Record progress of individuals as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
