Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring an IDD Teacher Assistant to support teachers and provide educational services to individuals with developmental disabilities in North Carolina.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience, plus may require a North Carolina driver’s license. A pre-employment background check and related verifications are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• A valid North Carolina driver’s license may be required.
• Pre-employment screenings: criminal background, OIG exclusions, Child Abuse Registry, and other credentialing as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher and conduct activities that meet the needs of each individual (Integrative Activities).
• Ensure class schedules and routines are followed.
• Assist in developing activities for weekends and holidays.
• Assist in basic care of individuals, including instruction in such skills.
• Collect data as assigned and record progress.
• All other duties as assigned.
