Job summary

The Guidance Center in Michigan is seeking a Supervisor for the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Program. Regular hours are Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as client needs dictate.

The role involves clinical supervision, crisis management, and ensuring program adherence to waiver requirements. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in social work/psychology/counseling, Michigan licensure (LMSW/LLP preferred), and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
• Current full Master's licensure by the State of Michigan; LMSW, LLP licensure preferred.
• At least 1 year experience with children/adolescents with IDD and relevant treatment modalities.
• Experience with Waivers desirable.
• Meet CMHP and QIDP requirements within 120 days of hire.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organized, flexible, culturally competent.

Responsibilities

• Provide standard and clinical supervision to staff using diverse methods.
• Manage crisis situations with staff and clients.
• Maintain EMR training and assist staff with questions and concerns.
• Review treatment records and guide documentation improvements.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and staff evaluations within span of control.
• Participate in quality management and implement agency initiatives.
