Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Supervisor – LMSW, LLP, or LPC Location: Michigan Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Additional Schedule: Minimum of one evening shift per week; additional evening/weekend hours may be required based on program needs Pay: $35.60–$48.17 per hour, based on license and experience Employment Type: Full-Time On-Call: None

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Supervisor to oversee the administrative and clinical operations of an I/DD program serving children, adolescents, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The I/DD Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision, oversee staff and program operations, monitor documentation and quality standards, support crisis situations, and ensure compliance with waiver and funding requirements. This position is ideal for a Michigan-licensed LMSW, LLP, or LPC with experience working with children/adolescents and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Required Qualifications
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
  • Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience evaluating, assessing, and treating children and adolescents
  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Experience utilizing appropriate treatment modalities
  • Valid driver's license and favorable driving record
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to appropriately manage crisis situations
  • Ability to work in a flexible, organized, culturally competent, and non-judgmental manner
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Habilitation Supports Waiver and/or Children's Waiver programs
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with an electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Experience in community mental health or behavioral health
  • Experience overseeing clinical staff and program operations
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Staff Supervision
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to program staff.
  • Provide regular individual and group supervision as appropriate.
  • Conduct staff meetings and maintain meeting records.
  • Direct staff assignments and day-to-day activities.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary processes.
  • Support staff development, training, and credentialing requirements.
  • Manage and respond to client and staff crisis situations.
Program & Clinical Oversight
  • Oversee the clinical and administrative functioning of the I/DD program.
  • Review treatment records and reports and provide direction for improving documentation.
  • Consult with staff regarding client cases and treatment needs.
  • Assess community and client needs and establish appropriate priorities.
  • Assess the need for psychiatric, psychological, and case management services and monitor service delivery.
  • Ensure services are provided according to Person-Centered Planning principles.
Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure program activities comply with Habilitation Supports Waiver, Children's Waiver, and other funding requirements.
  • Monitor staff credentials, required training, and compliance.
  • Review EMR reports related to waivers, productivity, and program performance.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and Total Quality Management activities.
  • Ensure documentation and service delivery meet agency, funding source, JCAHO, and other applicable standards.
  • Complete required reports, referrals, documentation, and other administrative duties.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Work closely with the Program Director and Finance team to ensure funding and budget requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support effective program operations.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and trainings and communicate relevant information to staff and leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison to agency committees and community partners as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program efficiency, quality, and service delivery.
Work Schedule

The standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Due to the needs of the program, the supervisor must work at least 4 hours per week after 5:00 PM, including a minimum of one late evening shift per week. Additional evening and weekend hours may be required based on client and program needs. There is no on-call requirement. Full-time staff are expected to provide a minimum of 23 hours of billable service per week.

Additional Requirements
  • The selected candidate must be able to meet the requirements for: Children's Mental Health Professional (CMHP) Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) within 120 days of hire.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Pay: $35.60–$48.17, based on licensing and experience. Additional incentive pay may be available.
