Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services division seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Program Specialist IV in the IDD PES unit. This role provides complex consultative and technical assistance to HHSC staff, providers, and stakeholders, supporting enrollment and eligibility activities for HCS, TxHmL, CLASS, ICF/IID, and CFC NW programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and related conditions.
• Knowledge of HCS, TxHmL, and ICF/ID program rules, service array and billing guidelines, LIDDA functions, or waiver service systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides highly complex consultative and technical assistance to management, HHSC staff, providers, and stakeholders.
• Analyzes data and prepares program information and reports as requested.
• Coordinates cross-agency workgroups to develop and implement program initiatives.
• Develops and revises review tools and evaluation forms.
