Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Texas seeks a Program Specialist IV to support the IDD Prog Eligibility and Spprt unit. You will review enrollments, transfers, terminations, and suspensions for HCS, TxHmL, and CLASS programs and coordinate care across IPCs and LOC determinations.

You will analyze program activity data, prepare materials for requests, and help develop improved review tools and procedures. The role emphasizes teamwork, training, and high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with HCS/TxHmL/ICF/ID program rules, billing guidelines, and LIDDA functions preferred.
• Ability to analyze enrollment and IPC data, and identify process improvements.
• Strong training and staff leadership abilities for cross-team guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly complex consultative and technical assistance to HHSC program staff and stakeholders.
• Analyze program data, prepare materials for information requests and reports.
• Lead unit activities and coordinate with cross-agency workgroups on program initiatives.
• Develop and revise review tools and procedures to meet objectives.
• Prepare staff training and guidance on new operational procedures.
• Serve as agency representative in fair hearings and prioritize workload in absences.
