Job summary

Mentor Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks a Program Director for IDD Services in Indiana. This role leads 1–4 community programs, overseeing direct supports, planning, health care, advocacy, staffing, funding, and compliance. On-call availability ensures coverage and continuity of services.

Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years in Human Services is preferred; an equivalent combination is acceptable. We offer full‑time/part‑time options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships.
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community, including direct supports, person-centered planning, health care, advocacy, regulatory compliance, staffing, training, safety, and facility maintenance.
• Manage program staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations and/or decisions on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, and terminations.
• Oversee program planning, monitor service delivery, and ensure services are engaging and relevant.
• Be available on-call to support staff and cover shifts as needed.
