Job summary
Caregiver in Memphis is seeking an RN Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, person-centered nursing care for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The role includes clinical oversight, medication administration, care coordination, and on-call triage as part of a collaborative team.
The RN will develop individualized care plans, conduct assessments, monitor health, and ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license is required and must be in good standing.
- Experience supervising LPNs/LVNs and other non-nursing staff is preferred.
- Experience in IDD care and adherence to HIPAA is expected.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals with IDD.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders and regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams.
- Conduct initial and ongoing nursing assessments.
- Monitor health status and intervene as needed.
- Oversee tasks by unlicensed staff, ensuring trained competency.
- Maintain proper medication storage, labeling, and inventory.
- Provide health-related training to staff and clients.
- Participate in care reviews, planning, and quality assurance.
- Provide telephone triage support for assigned on-call shifts.
