Job summary

VOA Mid-States is seeking a Home Coordinator to oversee daily operations of supported living homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate health appointments with the agency RN.

Qualifications

• Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements for supported living services.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and train Direct Support Staff.
• Effective communication in a courteous, professional manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Team-oriented with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the home following VOA policies.
• Supervise and assist consumers to lead wholesome, productive lives.
• Train Direct Support Staff per mandated curriculum and VOA regulations.
• Attend medical appointments with consumers and coordinate with the Registered Nurse.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and document as required.
• Ensure documentation aligns with PCISP goals and state regulations.
• Coordinate staff schedules within budget and ensure appropriate staff ratios.
• Review hours and overtime, approve timesheets, and monitor performance.
• Plan leisure, recreational, and social activities for consumers.
• Support relationships with family and friends and maintain contact with care teams.
• Be on-call as needed and manage staff supervision responsibilities.
