Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) seeks a Home Coordinator to oversee daily operations of supported living homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate care with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements.
• Planning and organizational skills.
• Skills in good judgement, supervising, and training staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA.
• Ability to work as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the home, following VOA policies.
• Supervise and assist consumers to maintain wholesome, productive lives.
• Train Direct Support Staff per mandated curriculum and VOA policies.
• Accompany consumers to medical appointments and communicate with the RN.
• Attend Interdisciplinary team meetings as assigned.
• Complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly documentation for PCISP goals and State Regulations.
• Train staff on each client’s Individualized Support Plan and ensure training completes.
• Plan and coordinate leisure, recreational, and social activities.
• Assist consumers in maintaining relationships with family and friends.
• Supervise staff and assigned customers; be available on-call.
• Develop staff schedules within budget and staffing guidelines.
• Approve timesheets and monitor overtime.
• Evaluate staff performance and enforce policy compliance.
• Initiate purchase requests and manage supply needs.
• Ensure groceries and supplies are within client budgets.
• Oversee maintenance on vehicles and ensure documentation in MARS.
