Job summary

South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Direct Support Manager to supervise QIDP activities at an ICF-IID facility. You will ensure compliant service delivery, train staff, and maintain meticulous records while coordinating with guardians and advocates.

The position requires a human services degree and experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, plus knowledge of federal/state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field (sociology, special education, rehab counseling, psychology, RN licensure, or DO).
• Two years of related experience, including at least one year with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations; ability to communicate; basic safety and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Direct Support Manager/QIDP for an assigned ICF-IID area.
• Ensure services and interventions meet identified needs under active treatment standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation compliant with rules and policies; update programs as progress dictates.
• Develop DSP III leadership and supervision skills; supervise and evaluate staff performance.
• Communicate with guardians/advocates about significant events and health status.
