Job summary

The Arc of Central Alabama is seeking a Day Program Manager to lead the Community Day Program site, ensuring person-centered, safe, and compliant activities for individuals with IDD in Alabama. You will supervise staff, coordinate with families, and manage programming, budgets, and documentation.

This hands-on leadership role blends operations with direct engagement, promoting inclusion and community integration while meeting CARF and HCBS Settings Rule standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or related field, or equivalent combination.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with individuals with IDD.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory or lead staff experience.
• Valid Alabama driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a statewide/criminal background check and TB test.
• First Aid & CPR certification and ADMH pre-service training within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily schedule, staffing, and programming for the Community Day Program site.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals and Activity Coordinators.
• Ensure implementation of person-centered plans and progress toward goals.
• Coordinate with families, guardians, and support coordinators on programming.
• Monitor site compliance with ADMH, CARF, and HCBS Settings Rule.
• Oversee incident reporting and IPMS processes.
• Plan community outings and integrated activities promoting inclusion.
