Job summary

Northern Lakes CMH Authority is seeking an IDD Behavioral Psychologist to provide specialized psychological and behavioral services for children and adults with IDD/ASD. Responsibilities include evaluations, FBAs, guardianship assessments, and development and monitoring of Behavioral Treatment Plans using positive behavioral supports.

The role requires licensure in Michigan (fully preferred; limited license considered) and the ability to be credentialed by NLCMHA.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology or comparable.
• Active Michigan psychology licensure preferred; limited license considered.
• Ability to be credentialed by NLCMHA to provide services.
• Advanced training in functional analysis or behavior treatment if not primarily behavioral.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adults in IDD/ASD populations.
• Perform guardianship evaluations and provide recommendations on capacity and least-restrictive alternatives.
• Administer, score, interpret, and document psychological tests and behavioral assessments.
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) per Medicaid and committee requirements.
• Develop, monitor and adjust Behavioral Treatment Plans (BTPs) using positive behavioral supports.
• Collaborate with Supports Coordinators, clinicians, families and partners on treatment strategies.
• Ensure services meet state/federal standards and participate in quality improvement processes.
• Provide in-service training and act as a clinical resource on IDD, ASD and ABA principles.
