Job summary

Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority (NLCMHA) is seeking an IDD Behavioral Psychologist to provide specialized psychological and behavioral services for individuals with IDD and ASD. The role includes evaluations, FBAs, BTP development, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support risk reduction and treatment planning.

The position requires Michigan licensure, doctoral degree, and ability to work across Traverse City, Cadillac, Grayling, or Houghton Lake locations.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or Master’s with Limited License status may be considered
• Must hold licensure in Michigan as a psychologist (fully licensed preferred) or be eligible forLimited license
• Ability to be credentialed by NLCMHA to provide services

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adults
• Perform guardianship and competency-related evaluations as needed
• Develop and monitor Behavioral Treatment Plans (BTPs) using positive behavioral supports
• Administer, score, interpret, and document psychological tests
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and risk assessments
• Provide consultation to staff, families, and community partners on treatment strategies
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid and Michigan Mental Health Code standards
