Job summary

Windsor Independent Living Association in Windsor, CT, seeks a Job Coach to encourage meaningful employment and support adults with IDD/DD at their worksites. The role includes on-site supervision, daily activities, and coordination with the team to promote independence.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, 40 hours weekly; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. The organization offers a supportive workplace and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Experience with individuals with IDD/DD, ideally in residential settings.
• Active DDS Medication Certification; CPR and First Aid current.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for self-directed, meaningful vocational activities.
• Plan, schedule and participate in therapeutic activities daily.
• Complete Medicaid billing documentation accurately and timely.
• Transport individuals to activities and their worksite as needed.
• Prepare clients for day and provide assistance with ADL and hygiene.
• Administer medications and communicate professionally with families and staff.
