Job summary

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Golden Valley, MN is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Patient Care team. This full-time day shift role offers a strong, supportive culture and opportunities to grow in Emergency and Specialty Medicine.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of veterinary technician experience or be a LVT.
• Experience in Emergency and Specialty Medicine is preferred.
• Ability to mentor and train coworkers.
• Strong work ethic and compassion for patients and clients.

Responsibilities

• Triage emergency cases and obtain vitals (temp, HR, RR, BP).
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia with monitoring equipment.
• Assist with treatment plans and explain to owners.
• Perform digital radiography with proper patient positioning.
• Understand normal vital sign ranges and alert Vet when needed.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Place feeding tubes and central lines as needed.
• Identify arrest risk and initiate CPR.
• Mentor and train co-workers in the ICU team.
• Show patience and empathy addressing client concerns.
