Job summary
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Golden Valley, MN, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency, ICU, and Triage teams. This full-time role includes days, swings, and overnights, with weekend and holiday requirements.
You will provide nursing care, monitor patient vitals, assist doctors, and use Cornerstone and Instinct software to document care. The role also involves assisting with advanced procedures and post-procedure monitoring.
Qualifications
- Provide nursing care to veterinary patients per hospital standards.
- Monitor patient response to treatments and monitor vitals.
- Be proficient with Cornerstone and Instinct software.
- Follow CPR guidelines and assist DVM/LVTs in exams.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients per hospital standards.
- Monitor vital signs and medication effects.
- Assist with exams, diagnostics, and procedures.
- Support advanced procedures (endoscopy, thoracocentesis, abdominocentesis).
- Care for patients post-procedure and maintain clean hospital.
- Assist with enrichment and daily patient care.
