Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks an ICU travel nurse in Washington, DC for a 13-week assignment starting 10/12/2026. This travel role involves 42 hours per week with 12-hour rotating shifts in ICU. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications.

You will assess and treat critically ill patients, document care, and support families. Responsibilities include meds administration, diagnostics, device management, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• NIH certification or equivalent may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor ICU patients and implement care plans.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Operate and interpret monitors and assist with tests.
• Educate patients' families and coordinate with the care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety.
