MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Critical Care Float in Washington, DC. The role requires an ICU background, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts, and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.
• 18+ months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU.
• Additional requirements determined by client facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and education to patients and families.
• Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
• Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and respiration for signs of distress.
• Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
• Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
• Assist in emergency nursing procedures for rapid changes in condition.
• Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
