UI Health, part of the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, seeks a Staff Nurse I for the 5SW Stepdown Medical ICU. This 60% part-time, flex nights role is based in Chicago, IL, and participates in Shared Leadership, evidence-based practice, and patient-centered care.

The position requires 1–2 years RN experience, Illinois licensure, BLS/CPR, and ACLS (or within 6 months). It offers benefits eligibility and opportunities for professional growth.

Competenze

• Current RN license with Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• Graduate of an RN program.
• Current BLS/CPR and unit-specific certifications.
• Current ACLS or within 6 months of hire for main hospital.
• 1-2 years RN experience.
• Effective communication with patients and care team.
• Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR).

• Develops and updates the patient plan of care based on ongoing assessment.
• Collaborates with the health care team to ensure quality patient care.
• Verifies orders and documents in the EMR.
