Qualifications

• Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• ACLS and/or PALS certifications preferred or within 6 months of hire
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with electronic health records and basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates patient care plans based on assessments and inputs from patient and family
• Collaborates with the health care team to promote safe, effective patient care
• Documents orders and interventions in the EHR as prescribed by providers
• Provides patient education and supports learning for patients and families
• Assists in coordinating shifts and resource use as needed
• Acts as a preceptor or resource to other staff when assigned
