Job summary

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wausau, WI to hire Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Critical Care (ICU) / Step-Down Unit. This unit cares for a complex patient population including cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry patients.

We offer Full-Time, Part-Time and Supplemental schedules with strong interdisciplinary teamwork, exposure to advanced cardiac pathways, and opportunities for growth into Charge RN and specialty roles.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• RN license (WI or compact) required; Trauma Nursing Core Course beneficial.
• BLS required (or within 90 days of hire).
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred depending on department.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines).
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.
• Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes.
