Job summary

The Staff Pad in collaboration with a leading healthcare system seeks Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Critical Care (ICU) / Step-Down role in Wisconsin. The unit handles cardiothoracic, post-surgical and telemetry patients, offering exposure to ICU-level skills in a structured, team-driven environment.

Positions available as Full-Time, Part-Time and Supplemental, with opportunities for growth into Charge RN and specialty roles.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• RN license (WI or compact eligible) & Trauma Nursing Core Course
• BLS required (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
• ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department
• Open to new grads and experienced nurses
• 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparative setting
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines)
• Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting
• Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes
