Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN, seeks an ICU nurse responsible for comprehensive patient care through the nursing process including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

This role supports ICU staff during codes, assists with IV starts, dressing changes and diabetes education, and participates in chart audits to maintain high care quality. Eligible candidates may receive a hire incentive and must meet licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current nursing licensure in the state of employment.
• ICU RN experience preferred.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS/ TNCC/ NRP certifications within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide organized nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Delegate care tasks to nursing staff according to licensure and job descriptions.
• Support ICU team during codes and critical events and assist with IV starts, dressing changes and chart audits.
