Job summary

City of Hope is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for PRN Day shifts in Newnan, GA. The role focuses on holistic patient assessment, clinically advanced interventions, and meticulous documentation in a high-acuity setting.

The ideal candidate holds a Georgia RN license, preferably a BSN, with BLS and ACLS certifications and 1–3 years of bedside RN experience, ideally in ICU or step-down areas.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia State Registered Nurse License required.
• BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date.
• Current BLS required (AHA certificate within 30 days of hire).
• Current ACLS required (AHA certificate within 30 days of hire).
• 1-3 years RN bedside experience preferred.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Recent ICU and/or step down preferred.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work PRN Days, 7a-7p.
• Assessment and Communication: Continuously assesses patient needs and communicates changes to the care team.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Plans, delivers, coordinates, and evaluates therapeutic interventions.
• Patient/Family Education and Support: Provides education regarding disease process, treatment side effects, and health promotion.
• Compliance and Quality Improvement: Ensures compliance with hospital policies and participates in performance improvement.
• Medical History Documentation and Medication Management: Obtains medical history and documents in patient records; ensures safe delivery of meds and treatments.
