Job summary

City of Hope in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse for the IMCU/Med Surg with day shifts (FT Days). The role emphasizes holistic patient assessment, coordinated care plans, and education for patients and families in a high-acuity setting.

Requirements include an active Georgia RN license, BSN or progress toward it, BLS and ACLS, plus 1–3 years of bedside RN experience. Oncology/ICU exposure is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia State Registered Nurse License required.
• BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date.
• Current BLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire).
• Current ACLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire).
• 1–3 years RN bedside experience preferred.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Recent ICU and/or step down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and communication: continuously assesses patient needs and communicates changes to the care team.
• Therapeutic interventions: plans and evaluates treatments and documents outcomes.
• Patient/family education and support: provides education and supports informed decisions.
• Compliance and quality improvement: adheres to policies and participates in quality initiatives.
• Medical history documentation and medication management: records history, verifies orders, ensures safe medication delivery.
