Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Grove City, OH, is seeking a Staff RN for the ICU to orient on a rotating basis and then start on Day or Night Shift depending on needs. The ICU is an 18-bed mixed medical/surgical unit with exposure to cardiothoracic and sepsis/stroke alerts.

The RN will provide care under the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, collaborating in a team-based model and delivering patient-centered care using the Nursing Process across policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• 2 years of experience required for Casual RNs.
• New graduate nurses with <1 year clinical experience are enrolled in Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients and develops a plan of care.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family informed.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by others as appropriate.
