Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time role covers night shifts from 7pm to 7am, with every third weekend responsibilities.

The 30-bed ICU unit includes Level 2 trauma capabilities and offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and PTO, with tuition reimbursement on day one of employment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois; BSN preferred.
• Experience in ICU or critical care settings is desirable.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care.
• Apply nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family engagement.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and mobilize resources with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and promote best practices across the unit.
• Document accurately in EHR and communicate clearly with the team.
• May float to related units to meet patient care needs as assigned.
