Job summary

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit. This full-time role covers the night shift from 7pm to 7am with every third weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges in the state(s) where practice occurs.
• BLS certification; additional certifications may be required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care improvements.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process; involve patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team to outcomes.
• Promote safety culture and ensure timely documentation in EHRs.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols; delegate appropriately.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain certifications.
