Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Delnor Critical Care Unit. You will provide inpatient nursing care to acutely ill patients, coordinate plans with the care team, and document progress in the health record.

The role includes three 12-hour night shifts (7p–7:30a) with every third weekend and rotating holidays. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, and 401(k) matching. A BSN and Illinois RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, plans and coordinates individualized nursing care.
• Directs care and utilizes nursing staff appropriately.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff to ensure outcomes.
• Participates in governance, committees and unit projects.
• Documents responses to interventions and updates care plans.
• Uses evidence to guide nursing practice.
