Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure is required.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Department-specific certifications may be required for the unit.
• Experience level corresponds to Level I–IV as described.

Responsibilities

• Participates in and maintains performance improvement initiatives.
• Evaluates and integrates evidence-based practice into clinical care.
• Performs accurate clinical assessments and documents findings.
• Develops, implements and revises patient care plans.
• Delivers nursing care in accordance with physician orders.
• Manages patient assignments and delegates tasks based on team skills.
• Provides education to patients and families and documents outcomes.
• Advocates for patient rights and advanced directives.
• Continuously updates care plans to reflect health status changes.
• Develops discharge plans and coordinates referrals including community resources.
• Supports onboarding of new staff and mentors colleagues.
• Contributes to professional development and departmental committees.
