Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Holy Cross Hospital – Jordan Valley in Utah is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high‑quality care within a collaborative healthcare team and mission‑driven environment.

You will assess patients, develop and implement plans of care, perform therapeutic interventions, document status and responses, and educate patients and families while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
• Active and unencumbered RN License in state of employment.
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. constantly.
• One year of recent RN hospital experience.
• BLS from AHA
• ACLS from AHA required or within 6 months of hire
• ENPC or PALS required or within 6 months of hire
• NIHSS required or within 6 months of hire
• NRP required or within 6 months of hire
• TNCC required (or within one year from hire)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including, but not limited to, IV’s, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records. Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
• Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability. Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.
