Job summary

Prisma Health in Simpsonville, SC is seeking an experienced RN for inpatient ICU nursing with a focus on patient/family centered care. You will provide clinical direction across the nursing process, assess patients, develop and update care plans, coordinate discharge planning, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires current RN licensure, 1 year of RN experience, and willingness to work weekends/holidays/on-call.

Qualifications

• Education required: Associate degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One (1) year experience as a registered nurse.
• In lieu of one year RN experience, Prisma Health Nurse Residency or equivalent residency accepted.
• In lieu of Associate degree, nursing diploma with RN licensure accepted.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and completes nursing assessment.
• Develops the plan of care with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Updates plan based on condition changes and communicates with team.
• Identifies goals and outcomes prior to discharge.
• Delivers direct patient care per the nursing plan.
• Delegates tasks to team members and ensures completion.
• Monitors quality of care and patient safety.
• Evaluates plan effectiveness and revises as needed.
• Assesses learning needs and provides patient education.
• Maintains documentation and confidentiality.
