Job summary

Carson Valley Health in Gardnerville, NV is seeking a full-time ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive critical care in the ICU. The RN will perform patient assessments, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Required: Nevada RN license, Associate’s Degree in Nursing, BLS and ACLS. ICU experience preferred. Schedule is 36 hrs/week, 3 - 12 hour shifts. Benefits offered.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Nevada.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• ACLS certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients and develop care plans.
• Administer medications including IV drips and emergency meds with precision.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team; participate in rounds and handoffs.
• Document all aspects of patient care in the EHR, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment in rapidly changing patient conditions; initiate emergency interventions.
• Care for ICU, telemetry, and swing bed patients and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
