Job summary

Carson Valley Health in Gardnerville, NV is seeking a qualified ICU RN for a full-time role in the hospital setting. The RN will provide critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions in the ICU, including assessments, medication administration, care planning, and multidisciplinary communication.

The successful candidate will hold an RN license in Nevada, with at least an associate degree in nursing and BLS; ACLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Nevada RN license required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• ACLS certificate required.
• Minimum of 6 months ICU experience; 2 years preferred.
• Professional customer service skills.
• Ability to read and communicate in English; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of critically ill patients and monitor vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessments and orders.
• Continuously monitor patient status and adjust care plans as needed.
• Document all aspects of patient care in the EHR accurately and completely.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips with caution.
• Educate patients and families on medication purposes and discharge planning.
• Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team and participate in rounds.
• Demonstrate judgment to initiate emergency interventions when needed.
